Black Wedding Dress Elopement in Northern California

Julie and Will are photographers from Minnesota who were going to be back visiting the Sacramento area to see friends and family. While they were visiting, they had reached out about doing a photoshoot collaboration together. We dreamt up this amazing styled elopement with lots of deep tones, Fall vibe flowers, all black attire AND a geode cake! That’s right.  A black wedding dress!  I am seriously obsessed!  I love that the black wedding dress and suit really brought in that extra moody vibe that really complimented the rain.  We couldn’t have planned it better.  Everything was ready!

We had been watching the weather forecast and it was supposed to be cloudy. But you know how weather forecasts go. When the day came, it rained….ALL. DAY. LONG! Hahah…not hard, but it was consistent. We decided to go ahead with the plans anyways and I am so glad we did. These two were such troopers and embraced the day. We even ended their session with some steamy photos of them in the water. Which btw, is one of my FAVES! If you are ever taking photos by the water with me, you can bet your little fanny that I will ask if you want to go play in the water. I am so glad they didn’t think I was crazy and was all for it! Oh what fun! Thank you Julie and Will. I love your sense of adventure! You two are both beautiful inside and out!

Special thanks to all the lovely vendors that made this day possible! You guys are awesome and worked so hard to make this day happen. And when the weather decided to throw us a curveball, you all rolled with it!
