Heidi + Sampson Sunrise Adventurous Silver Lake Engagement Session
Heidi and Sampson (Sam) will be tying the knot this weekend! So I thought we would go down memory lane and blog about their gorgeous engagement session.
Sam took a trip out to Silver Lake and had been raving about how gorgeous it was there. He wanted to take Heidi there and enjoy the view together. So when he mentioned taking a trip to Silver Lake together for their engagement session, I said, “Hell yea!” So that is just what we did. We woke up at the butt crack of dawn and Sam drove us there. Well…it was actually BEFORE dawn. But you get the point. We spent this time getting to know each other and just laughing. It might be the lack of sleep or the coffee, who knows, but time just flew!
Once we got there, it was clear to me why Sam picked this spot. It was just gorgeous! The view was amazing! Everything was so calm and still. We basically had the place to ourselves. Uninterrupted and undisturbed. It was just perfect! They found their way over to a HUGE rock and hung out to enjoy the sunrise. That was followed with some dancing, exploring, and LOTS of embracing. I mean…Not going to lie, it was freaking cold!!!! Sam had brought a quilt that had been in his family and made by his grandma. He wrapped the two up into a bundle of cuteness and just enjoyed each other in this gorgeous spot. Eventually, we decided that we should get going.
On the way home, we were admiring the view. So we said screw it. Stopped! And got out to soak in a little more of this beautiful day. Which then ended in a little bit of a snow fight between the playful couple.
All in all, it was a perfect day! Thank you Heidi and Sam for letting me tag along on such a fun morning! Can’t wait to capture more memories at your wedding this weekend!
