SF City Hall Wedding – Elise and Anthony

Bride and groom during their SF City Hall wedding

SF City Hall

Elise and Anthony’s wedding was absolutely beautiful. I know that people sometimes think a City Hall wedding can’t be special, but it really can – and this one proves it! SF City Hall isn’t your typical City Hall.  It’s breathtaking and simply unique.  It was as amazing as any other wedding I’ve seen.  If not more!

An Intimate Event

Only Anthony’s and Elise’s parents were present for their civil ceremony, which made it so personal and intimate. A lot of people worry that a small ceremony will make their wedding feel less special, but it really let this couple have a meaningful experience that was all about them. It was full of emotional moments and personal details. The deputy did such an amazing job incorporating them and helping the ceremony feel personal.

Elise and Anthony made a whole day out of their wedding, including everything that was truly important to them. They did get married in a small ceremony at SF City Hall, but they also had a reception at a pizzeria nearby and spent special time with their little dog, Lincoln. Even though their fur baby wasn’t able to accompany them to the ceremony or reception, they wanted to hang out with him in honor of the event, because he’s an important part of their family.

They rode in this vintage car to their wedding reception, got out to be greeted by their family, and got to eat some incredible pizza.

Time with Loved Ones

It was such an exciting moment when Elise and Anthony arrived at their reception. No one had seen them prior to that, so when they stepped out of the car, it was like they were celebrities on a red carpet. Everyone cheered for them, and the energy was incredible.

The food was great; it was so much fun for everyone to hang out, talk, and be together; and the speeches were so perfect. They were all so heartfelt, with so much history and so many jokes. Anyone in the room could see how the guests were moved, to both laughter and tears, by the stories.

Everyone in attendance was specifically chosen to be there, because it was important to the bride and groom. There were no acquaintances invited to fill out a guest list. Instead, the couple was surrounded by people who had meaningful history with them, who they wanted to share their special day with. It was such a sweet, chill experience to be there with them, and they made it a truly marvelous event.

Hidden Gems of SF City Hall

If it wasn’t intimate enough to have a City Hall wedding in SF with family, Elise and Anthony also got the last spot of the day for their ceremony. That meant the hall had started emptying out by the time they were finished, and it felt like they had the whole place to themselves. We were able to enjoy the playground of this beautiful location and capture some really special moments.

Even as short as our time together was, I felt like I got a glimpse into their relationship. The way they looked at each other said everything that needed saying, and I could instantly see how in love they are. What I saw and captured at their wedding was amazing. I hope I get the opportunity to capture even more of their love story in the future!
