Ok! Some random fact. Olivia and James’s wedding was the only wedding that was held Wente Vineyard in 2020. How special is that? Although their wedding was not how they had originally envisioned it, they did not let this dictate their happiness and the whole feel of their wedding day.
You might remember Olivia and James from their engagement photos in my previous blog post—they are the sweetest people! They had to change their wedding plans because of the pandemic. We had to reschedule their engagement photoshoot multiple times. They had to significantly cut their wedding guest list due to Covid restrictions. Even with all of the changes, Olivia and James were so gracious through the whole process. They are grateful to be able to get married in 2020 with their closes friends and family by their side.
James and Olivia were originally planning a large, elaborate wedding at the Wente estate and had to whittle down the guest list to less than 20 people in total. Despite the big change, they were impressively able to hold onto their original date and location. The wedding was the only wedding that got the approval from Wente Vineyards in all of 2020! The guests were all so gracious, all getting tested and quarantining beforehand and were just so happy and grateful that the event was still going on.
Wente Vineyards and winery is a truly beautiful spot for a wedding. The grounds are breathtaking between the vast vineyards and the picturesque Spanish architecture. Olivia and James wanted to get married outside on the grass, but had to do a last minute change. They said their vows inside instead one of the cave rooms where the wine barrels are held. It was intimate and perfect for their wedding.
James and Olivia had also rented an VRBO in Livermore nearby. The house sat on top of a hill that overlooked the whole valley with these gorgeous golden hillside views. They got ready there with their closest family, and after the ceremony, everyone went back to the VRBO for an intimate catered meal, complete with the most amazing red velvet cake!
I loved the way Olivia and James incorporated the wedding venue into their save the dates. The couple hired an artist to make these stunning invitations featuring the Wente building with the iconic bell. They rang the bell for them at the winery after they tied the knot, so it tied everything together perfectly! I am just so happy that I could meet this couple and become a part of their beautiful wedding day.

Things to do in Livermore:
Hiking, Eating, and wine tasting. These are three great things Livermore has to offer. Here are my top three favorite must see for visitors that have not been and are looking for something to do.
Want to opt outside and get some fresh air? Enjoy a nature hike, go fishing, enjoy the lake or even take some archery lessons. This park has so much to offer.
Want to go shopping without breaking the bank? One of the best outlets in Northern California, you can check out all the name brand stores without the name brand prices. Stores such as Allbirds, Asics, and Athleta.
Be able to go sightseeing without having to move. Here, you will be able to view the countryside with rolling hills and vineyards. Do it all while sampling the best wines the region has to offer.
