Modern Desert Elopement with Balloon Arch
If you are hoping to find inspiration for your bohemian wedding, look no further. This modern desert inspired elopement set at Great Bear Vineyard has all the unique and eye-catching elements that will surely bring a wow factor. So glad that I got the opportunity to work with Paradise Parkway again. She helped bring this beautiful vision to life (check out our last collaboration here). Thanks to the hard work of all the amazing vendors (full vendor list at the end of the blog), we were able to incorporate boho desert vibes without being near the desert. With carefully selected colors and styling, and complete with a fun neutral-toned balloon arch, the results were just stunning—I can’t wait to show you!
Being that I went to school at UC-Davis, Great Bear Vineyard was extra special to me because it is located less than a mile from my old apartment. Although it is located in the city, you would never have guessed it was in the heart of Davis, California. The vineyard has a very Mediterranean feel and features a beautiful Spanish-style villa with an arched entry-gate where we set up the balloon arch. They also have an amazing lavender field and olive orchard. It’s truly such a picturesque venue for a wedding! It felt like you were in another country. A bit of a fusion between Italy and Morocco.
About the vendors and their inspiration
The vision for this event was an upscale classy boho vibes with a bit of an edgy twist. The color scheme involved lots of chocolate, terra cotta, and creams. Both brides wore braids with warm earth-tone beads woven throughout, and the style team also created a bolo-style bowtie made from the same beads and flowers.
Even the expertly crafted cheese plate created by Grazing Craving fit it in with our chosen color scheme, with golden honey and deep red fruits. The table was set with desert toned serving ware from Blossom Farm Rentals, topped with terracotta menus and a rusty-colored floral centerpiece. The three-tier cake from Above and Beyond Cakes was modern and elegant with coral, white, and gold accents, it was the perfect final touch.
And of course, the scene was pulled together with the beautiful archway made from desert-tone balloons, palm fronds and dried ferns. Every detail was perfect, and the results were absolutely amazing. Just take a look at these photos and see for yourself!
