Paso Robles Wedding Venue – The Trailer Pond at Alta Colina
Allison and Leslie’s Paso Robles Wedding – Alta Colina at The Trailer Pond
On a seemingly ordinary day, Leslie decided to go with a friend to check out Kaia FIT, a fitness studio for women in Sacramento. Little did she know, she wouldn’t just find a path toward a healthier body and mind, she’d also find a community she’d treasure…and the love of her life! Leslie forged a beautiful friendship with Allison, a coach and instructor, that slowly grew into something more. And I couldn’t have been more thrilled that they invited me to photograph their wedding in Paso Robles. Where it was held at the beautiful wedding venue, The Trailer Pond at Alta Colina.
Covid Changed Their Wedding Plan, but Not Their Love
But like every couple who planned a wedding in the last year and a half, it was no easy road to “I do.” Leslie and Allison initially planned their wedding at a brewery in Sebastopol. As has happened to many this year, COVID threw a monkey wrench in that plan. Instead, they decided to downsize everything — from the venue to the guest list — and relocated their wedding to a location that accommodated their new vision for the day: The Trailer Pond at Alta Colina.
Looking back on it, the change in plans was truly meant to be! While Sebastopol would have been great (we even did their engagement session there!), the Trailer Pond was absolutely perfect for their Alta Colina wedding celebration. After seeing how it all turned out, I can’t imagine it any other way!
With a smaller guest list and a location that gave them a bit more freedom, Allison and Leslie made the most of the newfound flexibility, packing the two-day event with activities. They hosed a rehearsal and party the night before and even planned a yoga session for the wedding morning! It was a beautiful way for them to incorporate their story together into their wedding celebration. And the yoga definitely helped everyone wake up and find the right mindset for the day.
As much as they would have loved to have everyone on the original guest list there, opting for a small group gave the celebration an intimacy that felt so cozy and special. It would have been impossible to create the same experience with more people. Their children, friends, and family all got to be a real part of the day! One of the sweetest things about their wedding was the way their Kaia FIT family celebrated with them. These people were with them from day one, watching their relationship grow into what it is today. They all thought it was a long time coming! So, it was such a happy day for everyone involved.
Getting Ready for their “I do”
Allison and Leslie stayed at the Fableist Wine Co. cottage that overlooks the valley and vineyard. It was the perfect place to start their day. Leslie hung out with her wedding party and did some private wine tasting while Allison got ready in the cottage with her girls. They did a super sweet and intimate first look under the Oak trees before heading over to The Trailer Pond to say their vows in-front of their friends and family.
Allison and Leslie’s Wedding Day Ceremony
Allison and Leslie said “I do” on a hilltop overlooking the valley and vineyard of Alta Colina. They stood together on the deck under a big oak tree with their closest friends and family. Afterward, we went down to the “campground”, The Trailer Pond — a bouquet of differently-colored vintage trailers around the pond — for the reception! Everyone was ready to celebrate the couple with some great food and drinks. Which then slowly turned into everyone dancing into the evening.

Post-Wedding Adventure Session is a Must!
They managed to pack all this into their wedding day, but they still didn’t have enough time for everything they’d have liked to do! While they loved celebrating with their friends and family, they hardly had a moment to themselves. So, we decided to follow up their Alta Colina wedding day with a post-wedding photo session at the Oceano Dunes! And I can’t wait to show you some of the images, because they took my breath away!
Congratulations, Allison and Leslie on your long-time-coming, beautiful Alta Colina wedding day! It was such a delight and an honor to tell this chapter in your story for you from behind my camera, and I hope to tell another for you again so soon!
